Healthy Home Building
At Pure Estate, our goal is to build homes that are not only beautiful and high-performing, but truly safe for those who are mold-aware and mold-sensitive. We believe a healthy home starts long before finishes are selected—it begins with sound building science, careful material choices, and disciplined execution on the jobsite. Our homes are designed to be energy efficient, moisture-resilient, and thoughtfully constructed using safer materials and proven principles that support long-term indoor air quality and occupant health.
Just as important as what we build is how we build. We are deeply intentional about jobsite hygiene and moisture control throughout the construction process. Too often, we see brand-new homes with mold already hiding behind drywall due to poor sequencing, wet materials, or lack of oversight. We take a different approach— selecting non-toxic building materials, monitoring moisture, protecting materials, and ensuring the building envelope is performing as intended before walls are closed. Our goal is simple: homes that are clean, dry, durable, and worthy of the families who will live in them.
Our philosophy and methods are heavily informed by the work of leading voices in healthy and high-performance building, including Paula Baker-Laporte, John Banta, and Cheryl Ciecko. Their research, teaching, and real-world experience have helped shape our understanding of how buildings interact with human health—and have reinforced our commitment to doing things the right way, even when it requires more discipline, planning, and care.
Building a healthy home isn’t about trends—it’s about awareness, detail, and care.
Details matter—especially the ones you never see.
Most builders aim for “good enough.” We aim for healthy.
